Schools’ Tudor Days (Michaelmas)

29th & 30th September 2025

Step back in time almost 500 years to experience everyday life in Tudor Suffolk.

See, hear, touch and smell 16th Century England brought to life by over 250 of Kentwell’s skilled Living Historians, working and playing throughout the buildings and grounds of the Kentwell manor.

With the crafts, cooking, food, music and dancing - as well as the gossip that accompanies the life of a small village - you will travel back in time and spend a whole day lost in Tudor England.

Your students will experience 16th century life and meet the people of a Tudor manor in Suffolk. See how the people live, how they dress, what they eat, their skills, their tools their families. Talk to them about their lives, their concerns and find out what they do for fun.

Help knead the bread and churn the butter, even learn a dance or two - your day at Kentwell will be an amazing three hours immersed in the past.

Kentwell’s re-enactors are not actors, they are expert Living Historians, many with decades of experience and expertise. A Tudor schools visit provides unrivalled enrichment for the study of everyday life, with many hands-on activities: suitable for KS2, KS3 and GCSE students.

"There is nothing that I could have done in the classroom that could have brought history to life like this visit."
